Alila Diwa Goa looked fantastic on Tripadvisor and as one of the best hotels in Goa. After a short drive from the airport I arrived in the resort with expectations of a quality experience and it was. In the lobby the will serve you a nice welcome drink before being escorted to the room. I stayed in a loft room and it had a really nice design. It is well deserved that this hotel is a member of Design Hotels. The worst thing about the room was the noise level which can be extremly loud. The most important thing in a hotel is always the service. The service in Alila Diwa Goa was good, but with some problems. Many staff don’t speak English and that is neccesary if you want to work for a resort of this class. The facilities were very good with a fantastic swimming pool and spa. I had a great 1 hour treatment in the spa and it’s highly recommended to try during your stay. The internet is complimentary which is unusual for India, but it was very unstable throughout my stay. The food is very reasonable priced and it’s good to see a hotel that don’t overcharge for our basic needs.
Overall this is great value for money. It’s somewhere between 8.5 to 9 when I compare it with other great hotels. I will give it a top score for the value and spa, and medium plus to room and service.
My opinion: Great experience.
