Introduction:An intimate island haven made for two Cocoon yourself in a web of shimmering turquoise waters, swaying coconut trees, indigenous blooms and pure white sand. Free your spirit on the Maldives’ North Male Atoll. In Maldivian, Vabbinfaru refers to a round island circled by a round coral reef. In this circle of peace, claim sanctuary at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru resort. Feel the natural sea breeze sweeping in from the majestic Indian Ocean, and let the resort’s signature hospitality bring you peace and tranquillity.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My Arrival Experience: Warm welcome from Emily and the staff before being receiving a welcome drink and towel.
What I loved: The private swimming pool and that Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru is a quiet resort with a high level of privacy.
What About the Food: Banyan Tree is a great brand and I’ve had many memorable experiences with them in the past, but when it comes to food they are far from the best. Their Maldivian property is no exception and if high-quality, fine dining food is important to you this might not be for you. There was nothing wrong with the food. It was okay. Just far from the best in the Maldives and you probably would expect better for the price.
What About the Service: Great service by the reception. Some staff could need more training. Especially housekeeping, but overall satisfied with the service.
What About My Room: Beautiful beach front villa with comfortable bed, private swimming pool, jacuzzi, outdoor shower and indoor shower.
Number of Rooms: 48.
Type of Property: Resort.
Facilities: Spa, gym and pool.
Complimentary Internet: Yes, but quite slow. A little faster in the morning around 1 MB per second.
My Overall Impression: Great experience. I had a lovely experience. It’s not perfect, but a great certainly a great resort.
