Blancaneaux Lodge is one of Francis Ford Coppola’s three resorts and I had a truly great introduction to the brand and country here. A warm welcome from the staff with a nice welcome drink before being escorted to the room. The rooms have a beautiful eco friendly design and soft comfortable bed which always is very important for me. It’s very unusual that a hotel with only 20 rooms has two restaurants, but Blancaneaux does. Italian Montagna and a Guatemalan called Guatemaltecqua. The food here is very good and some of the best you can get in the area of San Ignacio, including the local breakfast with home made breads.
The most important thing is always the service and Blancaneaux was very impressive with very kind, professional staff that delivered a very personalized experience with excellent value rates. Only 230 dollars for the lowest category in low season is a great deal as you get a really great experience in this jungle lodge.
My opinion: Great experience.
