Canary Hotel Santa Barbara

The Leading Hotels of the World is a collection of some of the best hotels around the world. Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara was my first Leading Hotel in America, and I arrived with expectations of quality as I’ve had good experiences with Leading in the past. The arrival experience was very nice where the duty manager gave me a little tour of the hotel before escorting me to the room.

I stayed in a very nice junior suite with a great comfortable bed and nice designed bathroom that even had a small Tv. I also received a welcome card from the general manager and everything was set for a great stay. Canary Hotel Santa Barbara is one of the smaller Leading Hotels of the World, and I, therefore, had high expectations for the service. The staff was very friendly, but the service was nothing special compared to the best hotels in the world. Instead, I liked the rooftop area with swimming pool and beautiful views of Santa Barbara.

Overall it’s not one of the very best hotels in the world, but I can highly recommend it as nice different hotel experience in a great little town.
