Introduction: Welcome to Berlin’s first luxury boutique hotel. Situated in the diplomatic district, the Das Stue hotel is right in the centre of Germany’s capital. Nestled in the lush Tiergarten park and adjacent to the Zoo, it is only a short drive from all the shopping, art & entertainment hot spots in both East and West Berlin.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My Arrival experience: Warm welcome from the kind receptionist before being escorted to the room.
What I loved: The design, service, staff and the size of the hotel.
What about the food: Great breakfast buffet including Italian yogurt, Corny bars and a large collection of tea. I unfortunately didn’t get the chance to experience their Michelin-starred restaurant, but I’m sure it would be only another reason to select Das Stue as your hotel in Berlin.
What about the service: Great personalized service from the kind receptionists. It makes a difference only having 78 rooms.
What about the rooms: Beautiful rooms with a unique design. Great stand-alone rainshower and comfortable bed in a smoke-free environment.
Number of rooms: 78.
Type of property: Design Hotel.
Location: Berlin, Germany.
Facilities: Swimming pool, gym, spa and business center.
Complimentary internet: Yes, but unfortunately a bit slow. Between 0.50 Mbps and 1.80 Mbps during my stay according to Speedtests.
Affiliations: Design Hotels.
Final notes: This is a special hotel experience excellent service. I have decided to rank it Great+, despite of the slow internet and missing welcome amenities. This is my favourite in Berlin and one of the best hotels in Design Hotels’ collection.
My overall impression: Great+ experience.
