Fairmont The Palm is one of the newest Fairmont hotels and the second Fairmont hotel in Dubai.
The check in took a little time as I had to wait. There are 381 rooms and suites total in this hotel which is too big in my opinion, but Fairmont hotels tend to be very big. I stayed in a Fairmont View Room, 48 square metres with comfortable bed, working desk, flatscreen Tv and nice Rose 31 products in the bathroom. The bathroom also had a large bathtub and a separate rain shower. The internet is chargeable, but you can join their loyalty club for free and get free access. The facilities included a Fairmont Gold Lounge and rooms, 3,000 square meters of conference and meeting space and a full service business centre. Other facilities include a 450 meter private beach, beach club and four glistening pools, complete with cabanas with butler service.
The hotel is run very professionally and although it’s a resort, it feels more like a business hotel due to its large size. The staff are well-trained as you would expect in a Fairmont hotel. The stay ended with a good breakfast with a large selection of food, but again because of too many rooms, it’s like a zoo with too many people around.
The bottom line is that Fairmont The Palm is professional run with great rooms and you will have a great time as long as you don’t expect a personalized experience as they have nearly 400 rooms.
My opinion: Great experience.
