Galley Bay Resort

Galley Bay is a 4 star all-inclusive resort in Antigua and was voted a top 100 resort in the world by the readers of Tripadvisor. I arrived in Galley Bay and because of their high rates and great reviews I had high expectations. The welcome was nice and I was escorted with buggy to my room. I stayed in a Premium Beachfront Suite and it was a nice room to stay in although nothing special.

Galley Bay is an all inclusive concept, something that worked really well in Hermitage Bay which charge around 30% more than Galley Bay. In Galley Bay it was not working. I had two lunchs, one breakfast and one dinner and neither of them was great. Lunch was probably OK, but I had higher expectations for the rates they charge.

The facilities were good, I had a spa treatment and it was very good, but not on the same level as the best treatments I’ve had. The most important thing is always the service and that is what saves Galley Bay. Very good after Caribbean standards and overall a nice experience to the portfolio.

My opinion: Good experience.
