Hotel Principe di Savoia

Hotel Principe di Savoia is part of the prestigious Dorchester Collection and after my greatexperience in The Dorchester last year I arrived with high expectations in Hotel Pincipe di Savoia.

The first impression wasn’t good. Had to wait 3 minutes before a receptionist was available to check me in. That’s the difference between a small hotel like Seven Stars Galleria with 7 rooms and this 401 room hotel. The receptionist was very professional and escorted me to the room.

I stayed in a Principe Suite and it was stunning. Recently renovated with a great contemporary design. Separate livingroom and Acqua di Palma amenties in the bathroom.

The service level was overall great. Most of the staff was impressive and well trained, but a few had a very limited English. Principe di Savoia has all the services and facilities you would expect in a 5 star hotel and business travellers can’t really complain about anything. Except one. Chargeable internet.

Overall a really great classical hotel. The hotel is too big for my personal taste, but it’s one of those big hotels that really works.

My opinion: Great experience.
