Liberia is a tropical, English-speaking country in Africa with potential for future tourism. It’s a beautiful country, but two civil wars in the last 25 years, have made it impossible to develop any tourism until the war ended in 2003.
Today, Liberia can be visited easily, and that’s what I did back in April this year. Obtaining a visa can be a challenge at some embassies, but I read Rabat, Morocco would be the easiest place, so I decided to check it out.
At the Liberian Consulate in Copenhagen, a single entry tourist visa is priced at 100 Euros, while a multiple entry is 150. Furthermore, five working days are expected for processing the visa application.
In Rabat, Morocco I had a very pleasant experience. The visa was issued in just a few hours with no requirements and at a much lower price. Only 50 dollars and with the choice of single or multiple entry visas. A real bargain. The staff are friendly at this embassy, and I can’t think of a better place to obtain the Liberian visa.
Finally, I would like to recommend low-cost carrier, Gambia Bird that flies to Monrovia cheaply. There are some airlines flying to Banjul, Monrovia at really low fares from Europe. I highly recommend my sponsor, Vueling that offers fares to Banjul from as low as 99 Euros, one way.
