Ksar Char-Bagh

Ksar Char-Bagh is a member of Relais&Chateaux and with only 12 rooms I had high expectations for personalized service and as you are about to read, I wasn’t disappointed.

The hotel picked me up in the airport in a very old car and I was pleased to find a detail I had never seen before. A letter explaining the journey to the hotel and the sights I could see on the way. An impressive detail which surely will be stolen by many hotels over time.

I arrived in the hotel and received a warm welcome from the staff and was soon after escorted to the room.

I stayed in a Harem suite and it had a really nice Moroccan architecture. The bed could be more comfortable, but the bathroom was very nice and a complimentary minibar was a plus.

As said before I had high expectations for the personalized service and I wasn’t disappointed. The staff was great and did everything they could to make my stay more enjoyable.

The food was great as you would expect in a Relais&Chateaux. It’s not cheap, but it’s fairly priced compared to the other Relais&Chateaux’s around the world. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and I was very satisfied with all meals and the service in the restaurant as well.

What made Ksar Char-Bagh extraordinary special was a combination of the unique architecture, high service level and the great attention to details. Many details can be found in the room and while having a dining experience.

Overall a fantastic experience. I love the size with only 12 rooms which all is suites. The service is very personalized and food is excellent as you would expect from a Relais&Chateaux. The property is uniquely designed and this is definitely one of the best in Marrakesh and my own personal favorite in Northen Africa.
