Miraflores Park Hotel by Orient-Express

Miraflores Park Hotel was my first hotel in Peru and what a wonderful hotel it is. I arrived in the hotel and received a warm welcome from the receptionists before being escorted to my room. I stayed in a garden suite and it was lovely. Separate bath tub from shower, comfortable bed, Molton Brown products, flatsceen Tv and separate sitting area. What I liked most was the private garden which you don’t find in many city hotels.

The service exceeded my expectations as well. Lovely staff, but as expected several staff had English problems.

The facilities was top class. I especially liked the heated rooftop swimming pool. Food was a mixed experience. Breakfast was disappointing, but the dining experience was excellent with the best seafood lasagne I’ve ever had. Highly recommended if you can’t decide what you want for dinner.

Overall a surprisingly great Orient-Express experience. I always have high expectations for Orient-Express, but I did not expect this property to be one of their bests ones, but it really is. Not far from the best city hotels in the world.
