Regency Hotel Florence

Regency Hotel has 35 contemporary rooms, a smaller lobby area and a beautiful garden. The location is 10 minutes walk from the central train station in a quiet residential area as a great base to explore Florence.

My arrival experience started in the afternoon and as in Lord Byron, I was escorted to the room by a bell boy that didn’t spoke a word of English. I stayed in a Classic Deluxe Room which had a nice contemporary design, comfortable bed and a shower in the bathtub itself. The concept of the two hotels has now changed. The internet is now complimentary and it’s super fast. On top of that they offer a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar which was a very pleasant surprise.

What I liked most about Regency was it’s size. 35 rooms is small for a city hotel and makes a difference as you can deliver personalized service. Hotel Regency did that a long way. Great staff that were extremly helpful with all needs. The stay ended with an impressive breakfast and it’s definitely a safe choice in Florence.

Overall it was a very similar experience to Lord Byron in Rome. A contemporary city hotel with great personalized service you can count on.
