Located in Rungsted Kyst, next to the Karen Blixen Museum, Rungstedgaard is a beautifully designed hotel with 138 rooms and 3 suites.
Rungstedgaard is located in Northern Zealand, approximately 28 kilometres north of Copenhagen, making it an ideal base to both explore the great sights of the area such as Kronborg and Frederiksborg Castle, and the capital.
My experience started with a friendly check-in experience by the receptionist. I liked the beautifully designed room that felt ultra-comfortable and as I arrived late my first day ended quickly. The following morning the day started with an impressive breakfast buffet. It exceeded my expectations with an impressive selection of food and as far as I remember, it was the first time I saw supplements like fish oil at a breakfast buffet. Their a la carte restaurant, The Lounge, serves food that includes ingredients from their own kitchen garden.
Rungstedgaard has a lovely country feel like I wrote in the headline, due to the beautiful surroundings where I had a nice walk with my girlfriend during the stay. I also liked the public spaces a lot with complimentary water, coffee and tea. The service is great at Rungstedgaard with friendly, smiling staff. I didn’t find anything I didn’t like at this hotel and would be very happy to return in the future. Copenhagen is one of the most expensive cities in the world, and it’s hard to find a hotel of a similar standard for the price in Copenhagen. Instead, I can highly recommend staying at Rungstedgaard for the beautiful, quiet location, free parking, great staff and excellent breakfast.
