San Cristobal Tower

Finding the best hotel in Santiago is not easy, but finding the top three is quite simple. San Cristobal Tower and the only W and Ritz-Carlton in South America. My first hotel was Luxury Collection’s San Cristobal Tower and because of my platinum status I was upgraded to a nice Executive Suite with separate bed- and livingroom. Both had a flatscreen Tv, the shower was seperate from the bath tub and I really liked the classical design.

As the other Luxury Collection hotels San Cristobal Tower offers butler service as well. The butler was very good and the general service level was very good in San Cristobal Tower. The facilities was very bad however and far from Luxury Collection standard. It’s shared with Sheraton next door and very crowded in spa and swimming pool. They should definitely build their own high quality spa area instead of sharing it with their lower sister brand, Sheraton.

The food needs improvement. The room service was acceptable, but the breakfast needs immediate attention. The service was OK, but the food selection was low quality. The milk and fruit should be kept cold instead I had to ask for fresh products from the kitchen. Also, they should have an a-la carte menu for breakfast as people like me require that.

Overall a very typical Luxury Collection experience. It’s easy to see the same standards as in the other ones and the design have similarities as well. Good experience to the portfolio.

My opinion: Great experience.
