Sheraton Incheon Hotel

Sheraton is a good full-service brand, but it’s seen as far from Starwood’s top brand St. Regis, but this hotel ended up being one of the biggest surprises. So what made me stay here? I saw an advertisement for the property in CNN Traveller’s magazine with the title: 100% smoke-free environment and became very interested as a strict non-smoker and found it very unusual for a country like Korea. Sheraton Incheon Hotel opened last year and immediately received many excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, which is unusual for most Sheraton hotels. At check in they informed me that because of my Platinum status they had upgraded me to an executive suite. They escorted me to the suite which was very comfortable and brand new. It had a beautiful view and featured a flat screen Tv. The feeling of new is always great, but what makes this hotel one of the best Sheraton’s in the world is the service. Comparable with a Shangri-La.

As an SPG Platinum, I had access to their lounge, and it was top class. Brand new, lovely design, but with both food and service at Ritz-Carlton level. Yes, I would recommend not to judge this hotel by its name. It’s much better than any Sheraton I’ve stayed. I liked the indoor swimming pool, and their fitness centre is fully equipped with the latest technology. The last thing which I love and appreciate is their 100% smoke-free policy. Smoke spreads everywhere so it’s nice to breathe clean air no matter where you are in the hotel.

Overall it’s one of the biggest surprises I’ve had. Do not judge this hotel by its brand. It can be hard for people to understand this hotel can be as good as a Shangri-La or Conrad, but it is. It’s not one of the very best hotels in the world, but it’s a great experience even for people that are used to luxury hotels. Can’t recommended it enough.

My experience: Great experience.
