Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort

After W Maldives turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences in my life I was excited to see if the other Maldivian Starwood property could surprise me. Sheraton is a brand like Hilton, most of their hotels are average, but a few of them is world class. Sheraton Full Moon has a very convenient location as it is only 15 minutes speedboat away from the airport.

I stayed in an Ocean Villa which was less than two months old. Brand new and very comfortable. It had a swimming pool and great ocean view. I liked it and was pleasant surprised to see this level of accommodation in a Sheraton resort.

The service was up to the usual standards of Sheraton I’ve seen. It’s far from Four Seasons quality, but lives up to the brand of Sheraton and did not disappoint at all. In a Four Seasons or W I would look very much at their professionalism, but in Sheraton, you can not expect the same. I expected them to be friendly, and they all were. I had dinner, and it was a nice experience. Their home made bread was probably the best bread I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Credit to the people behind the bread.

The facilities was up to Sheraton standards and they even had nice a Kids Club for the little ones. Overall you will not be disappointed if you know the standards of Sheraton. It’s better than most Sheratons, but do not expect one of the very best hotels in the world.
