The Michelangelo Hotel
The Executive Suite had a design similar to a Ritz-Carlton, but the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I hoped. I like a very soft bed and my bed wasn’t. The suite had a separate sitting area and two flatscreen Tv’s. The bathroom had separate shower from the bathtub which is a must in 2012. The hotel also provided me with welcome amenities in terms of wine, chocolates and fruits. Many people have reported disappointments with the food and I have to agree. It’s not great, but not bad either, it’s just very overpriced. Better to visit The Melson Mandela square next door. Overall a very good business hotel and great choice for a stopover in Johannesburg. With 242 rooms you can’t expect personalized service, but expect a well managed hotel that works.
My opinion: Good+ experience.
