The Regent Palms

Introduction: The Regent chain has giving me some of my most memorable travel experiences and the high standards continue to impress me. The Regent Palms was no exception and is one of the better Caribbean resorts I have stayed. It is no coincidence, that Regent is a partner with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts as the service standards makes a difference and the staff always are well-trained. The resort opened in 2004 and has 72 rooms total, all suites. I stayed in one of their Junior Suites, their lowest category with a lovely design, but no separate shower from the bathtub. The spa has world class facilities, but is chargeable for all guests unless you book a treatment.

Arrival experience: Impressive welcome with welcome drink and towel before being escorted to the room.

What I loved: That the service was better than most Caribbean resorts and the dinner was among the best meals I’ve had in the Caribbean where food often lacks quality.

What about the food: Great dinner, but breakfast could be improved with a larger selection and higher quality.
