The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Sanya

Ritz-Carlton is one of most recognised hotels brands around the world. The majority of their hotels is in America, but they now have nine Chinese properties including one in Sanya on the island of Hainan. After a stay in Banyan Tree with 60 rooms, I expected difference in service arriving in a resort with 450 rooms. I arrived at the hotel with a taxi from Banyan Tree and had a nice check in experience with welcome drink and towel before being escorted to my Deluxe Ocean View Room. The room had a great ocean view and was very comfortable. It had a nice designed bath tub and Tv in the bathroom. One of the best standard rooms I’ve seen so far from Ritz-Carlton.

The service was better than I expected, most of the staff had a good English level, and I did not have any problem. The staff was far from the quality of Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, but better than Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur which in my opinion is the weakest Ritz-Carlton hotel. Back to this property, the facilities were very good, and their lounge was excellent. Large selection of food during the cocktail hours and furthermore with good service. Overall a hotel with Ritz-Carlton standards and with good value depending on the rate you can get.

My opinion: Great experience.
