World’s Best Low Cost Airline: Air Asia

Air Asia is the latest airline to join my project of visiting all countries and territories in the world. Air Asia is a Malaysian low-cost airline with 121 destinations in Asia and Australia. More than 10,000 employees can be proud of the Skytrax Award “World’s Best Low Cost Airline” from 2009 to 2014. Based on my personal experiences on many Air Asia flights, I give you the main reasons, why I agree:

– Lowest fares. It is probably the cheapest airline in the world. Domestic flights as low as 4 dollars total if you book their specials in advance. I can highly recommend signing up for their newsletters as you will be able to book these incredible low fares. Other examples include USD60 Kuala Lumpur to Perth and USD50 from Mumbai to Kuala Lumpur.

– Great staff. Many low-cost airlines have no-existing service and staff that don’t care about their passengers. It is not the case on Air Asia, where I find a great service level with smiling staff always kind and helpful.

-Route network. They cover most airports in Asia. They used to fly low-cost to London and Paris, but it was too expensive in the long run. Now I recommend Norwegian for low-cost between Europe and Asia.

-Easy check in. I can easily check in online and go directly to the gate or use the self-check-in machines at the airport.

Air Asia sponsored me six flights, and I enjoyed it as always. They also have a good on-time performance, and I will continue to fly them again and again.
